Alyokhin, A. 2026. Non-Native Species: Understanding the Impacts on Ecosystems and Societies. Academic Press, Oxford, UK.

This book is largely based on the course that I taught at the University of Maine for over 20 years. It covers the mechanisms of natural and human-mediated biological invasions, their consequences from ecological, economic, political, and ethical perspectives, and discusses management options available for prevention and/or mitigation of the negative impacts of invasive species.

Alyokhin, A., S.I. Rondon, and Y. Gao [editors]. 2022. Insect Pests of Potato: Global Perspectives on Biology and Management. Second Edition. Academic Press, Oxford, UK.

I served as the lead editor on this book, which is a thorough revision (and expansion) of the first edition listed below.

Giordanengo, P., C. Vincent, and A. Alyokhin [editors]. 2013. Insect Pests of Potato: Global Perspectives on Biology and Management. Academic Press, Oxford, UK.

This is the first edition. Despite an overlap, there are chapters that are absent from the second edition. Also, some of the same chapters were written by different authors.

Abramovitz, M. and A. Alyokhin [content consultant]. 2019. A Toad that Explodes and Other Cool Animal Facts. Bright Idea Books Series, Capstone Press, North Mankato, Minnesota, USA.

I served as a content consultant for this children's book, making sure that all the cool facts were described in a scientifically precise way. It was a really fun project, I hope to do something like that again in the future.
